ABOUT ME

I’m sure when you hear “nutrition” your mind automatically thinks “lose weight". And that’s okay! Losing weight can certainly be part of your nutritional journey; however, I’m here to dispel some myths about your relationship to food, weight loss, and nutrition.

Fact or fiction:  In order to lose weight, you have to cut out carbs and sweets, while spending countless hours in the gym?

FICTION!

And here’s why:  Yes, working out is an important part of any nutrition goal. But first you must learn that food is fuel, and what you actually need is everything you’re already eating in moderation. There’s a lot of noise in the world for “get slim fast!” schemes that might get temporary results, but what I base my plans on is good ol’ science mixed in with lifestyle habits to reach long-term goals.

Sure, working out matters, but let's spill the tea: food is your fuel. What you really need is to keep enjoying what you eat in moderation. Forget those 'get slim quick' gimmicks – my game plan? It's all about mixing science and kick-ass lifestyle habits for those long-term glow-up goals.

My name is Janice Rhett, and I am a certified nutritionist through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), and Certified USA Olympic Weightlifting Coach. My passion for nutrition stems from my time in the Army, making sure I was battle ready, my history as an athlete and learning how my time in the gym really began with the food on my plate.

What I teach my clients is, nutrition should be weaved into your fitness goals. Food shouldn’t feel like punishment or something you dread thinking about. It should be enjoyed within healthy boundaries, and the results speak for themselves.

Let’s start building sustainable, healthy habits together.
